Paul

A year ago today I saw

An amazing performance

By the greatest living songwriter

A legend who will one day

Be held up with Shakespeare and Mozart

And if I appear to be stretching hyperbole

It’s only because we are

Still too near to him

For to me, there was

Never a time before

McCartney

He has always been

And though my mum

Preferred John he has

Continued on with so

Many classics that three hours

Cannot contain them

But I contain them all

And the joy they have brought

Throughout the world will

Live on when one day

He has gone

Thoughts

I’ve seen him twice. He is a musical genius. I put him in the same category as Mozart and Beethoven. Thanks.
