Compassion
Can you offer compassion
When faced with frustration
And every fibre
of you wants to fight
Can you offer a moment
Of kindness when angry
And all that you want
Is to prove you are right
Can you offer a shoulder
To cry on when inside
You know that your own world
Is falling apart
Can you offer a smile
And share in their laughter
When all of your demons
Keep you in the dark
Can you offer compassion
To all who are broken
With each of us sharing
The same broken heart

Thoughts
Playing around with classic forms these days. I find it hard to tell if something is good as a result as it feels old fashioned.
