Falling Leaf

I am the falling leaf

That glides through the air

Not a care in the world

Going wherever the wind takes me

I am the empty crisp packet

That floats on the Mersey

Devoid of all that I was

Filled with unfamiliarity

I am the breath, the whisper

The fragile calm that holds

While the baby is asleep

I am the paranoia

The stress and strain

That can appear out out of nowhere

Unbidden , unwelcome, unwanted

Just when I think I am one with the universe

The universe gives me a knock

Off centre

Off kilter

You’re not as chilled as

You thought you were, eh?

Thoughts

Insert most obvious leaf picture :)
