File Not Found

There is a space somewhere

Deep within my head

Where all of my knowledge

Used to live

I go there often and try and find

How to reinstall an operating system

But it is missing

File not found

I have a sneaking suspicion that

It is in the same place I left my keys

Along with the answer to that

Question on University Challenge

And my ability to spell

Or maybe I’m just tired

All the time and there is only

A certain number of things

Left to care about

But for now, I still remember

Your face

Your eyes

Your smile

And how you hold me

Thoughts

It’s about getting older, dementia, that Homer Simpson quote about learning new stuff pushes out old stuff and holding on to the most important parts.

Here is a street in Salzburg for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
