Flying

It has been a day shrouded in darkness

With a months worth of rain

Washing away the remnants of the year

The longer it persists

The more you believe it will never end

But it already has

For high above the dark clouds

Is a warm sun that

Will not die before you

And I promise that

Death is not the end

You have watched the leaves

Appear from nothing

Hidden somewhere in the tree

Growth and flourishing

Gave away to grey and a

Fall from grace

Soon they will reappear

Seemingly the same, but

Totally transformed

This is the path

We must take

Thoughts

That moment of joy when you break through the storm clouds in a aeroplane and see the sun is one of the most magical sights a human can see. But that has only been possible for a small part of history.

Public Service Broadcasting brought their story of Amelia Earhart to Nottingham in 2024. What an amazing show and a reminder of the price paid so that we can see the world.
