How Many
How many versions of me exist
In how many alternative universes?
Is there a strong, confidently
Clueless me running a FTSE
100 company, ignoring my
Climate responsibility in favour of
Shareholders who approve my bonuses
While delivery drivers can’t afford
Shoes for their daughters
What sense of entitlement would I hold
In order to be so bold in the
Face of such inequality
Was it a bully or long
Distant mummy who didn’t give me
What I needed
Even when I pleaded for love
I pray that if this version exists
He can be introspective
address the negative
And make amends
And if not
Maybe someone will give him a good slap
