Peace
The night falls in darkness
Takes my hand and leads
Me to a place that I
Would never choose
For I want light, warmth, joy and ease
But most of all
I want peace
But peace does not come
In the light, warmth, joy and ease
For peace is found in darkness
In the unknown
In the places where we have
No control
We cannot bend it to our will
Like we think we can but
Only wait and hope in the meaninglessness
One day meaning will come
In disguise but you will recognise it
In fellow travellers
Those who have also walked in darkness
There you will find peace
