Stripping

Stripping back the layers

of grime and dirt

to reveal your true beauty

hidden for so long

by the passage of time

and the elements

Can anyone hope

to protect themselves

I could wrap you up

but risk wrecking your

delicate features

Would you slowly rot

under the fake veneer

that I imposed on you

Stand firm

Resist the weather

Embrace nature

Thoughts

Spent a couple of days press washing my patio. Here is a poem about it.

It made me think of this beautiful house near Parc Jean-Baptiste Clément in Montmartre.
