View To Lew(es)
Notes of light played staccato
Across the stave of my view
Sing to me of a far off land
This motif is all I need
To know you wait in darkness
Like you always have
Distance becomes irrelevant
You are both here and
There and everywhere
I am carried by the rolling mists
Over the Downs that drowns
The sounds that you make
Bare feet sunk deep into the Earth
Give roots to your soul
We are one and at peace
Here with soil and water
We connect and are reminded
Of how we did so

Thoughts
The poem speaks of a view but it’s not as good as this one.
