Your marks move across the page

And conjure a world

Out of thin air

Heroes of old and

Untold rogues roam

Through this mystical land

Villains are on hand

To trouble and tease but

Beware

For all is not as it would seem

Protagonist, what is your intent?

To battle the forces of evil

Or oneself?

I pray for the introspective

Amongst the escapist

Let the two join together

In an uneasy alliance

I love Spy X Family by Tatsuya Endo. It’s great spy adventure story but it so often has moments like this.

If you are busy today, let this speak to you. It’s ok to slow down.
