It’s Funny How

It’s funny how precariously balanced our world is

And yet we search for patterns

Formed into habit and say

This is normal

And then, if it is disrupted

We cry foul

Unfair and either it returns

Or we adapt to the new normal

Remember how hard it was to stay inside

To wear a mask and ration our shopping and work

Remember how hard it was

To remove that same mask

For the first time

Only a short time later

Oh, the anxiety it brought

Thoughts

Six years since Covid. It felt it would never end at the time. I’m sure it never did for so many families who lost loved ones.

The picture is a reminder that our earth is subject to seismic changes and we are just passing through.
