Dr. Stress (with apologies to Dr. Seuss)

I’m really good at staying chilled

When everything is going great

My countenance is so serene

With wisdom. I pontificate

On matters that I do not know

Suggest that you should

Let it go, but woe to

Those who catch me when I’ve

More than one thing on my plate

It’s safe to say I am not calm

Your words of wisdom could bring harm

For deeper darker, I can go

In fairness, you would never know

I’m not too good when stressed

So now I’ll go and have a rest

For I am like a little child

Who needs to sleep and not be riled

I do not like to be stressed out

Forgive me if I start to pout

Thoughts

This is a throw away bit of fun. The chicken on the other hand had it all figured out. Living her best life in Florida around twenty years ago.
