Joni
Oh Joni
You always knew how to make me cry
With a chord
And a word
And a melody line
That would rise above
Far beyond all things
Transcending time and space
Yet anchored in a reality
Of rich Canadian earth
Frozen water sends you out and in
And a solitary note that hangs in the air
For eternity
Can bring more joy than one man can bear
With tears flowing down
A C major scale
So sharp, they leave invisible cuts

Thoughts
I love this poem and I don’t want to ruin it by adding to it.
We had our garden terraced a number of years ago and the amount of soil removed was insane. I wonder where my little part of England was moved to?
