Do people still send postcards?
I haven’t had one in years
Maybe they have all been delayed
They would often arrive after the holiday had ended
Tales of warm weather, unusual food and a strange smell
They seemed to travel so far
In the days before EasyJet
The stamps alone would keep you talking for weeks
But now we stream in real time
Pictures moving as they happen
But is anyone experiencing
The holiday, if it is all being documented?
Were we ever experiencing it?
Enjoying it or ticking a box
On a list that said I was better than you
Wish you were here
