Unplugging

I love the thought that a generation who grew up with the internet is now searching for meaning in real life

Unplugging and being mindful

Taking time to journal each day

And carve out a space for themselves to be

I remember trying to keep a diary when I was younger, but it was too slow for me

The future was fast and exciting

Just around the corner

The hope that we didn’t know we were searching for

Now, after all this time

I have returned to pen and paper

And I have concluded

That the kids might be onto something

Thoughts

This is some of my favourite artwork. It is by Kristian Donaldson from the comic book series Supermarket. I love the way he used hand drawn line work before developing it in the computer. So much has become digital and I love that but being hands on with something is very special.
