I Cut a Hole

I cut a hole

Through the fabric of time

And I climb through

Knowing I will see you again

Unchanged and unchanging

Held as a perfect memory

Without the messiness of the past

You radiate joy and peace

And pull me in from my

Cynical introspection

This is a world where

Words are not needed

Everything is said with a smile

A glance, a tip of the head

I know forgiveness flows freely

Even though it was never needed

I was always accepted

And always will be

Thoughts

I love Grayson Perry and have had the privilege to see a number of his excellent textile pieces. He is able to tell a story in such detail through the weaving of threads. This is from The life of Julie Cope and I saw it in Edinburgh.
