Silence

I live beneath the silence

You live above the sound

I live above the heavens

You live beneath the ground

Calling creatures draw me downwards

Introspective navel gazing

Grazing on the thoughts that bind us

Heavy legs are marching homewards

Fingers sinking into soil

Soon my slumber will seduce

Shifted into deeper darkness

After the bright sun consumes

Rest has been a long time coming

But will I awake again

As the person you once knew when

This brave world did first begin

Thoughts

This started as a song idea and then became this.

Spiral staircase somewhere in Paris I think. I can’t remember.
