Bad Luck

Sometimes we are victims

To bad luck and ill

Intentions, but I try hard

To see the best in people

Seen through a screen

The world can look

Like it’s out to get you

But there is more to

See than the headlines

Or the polarisation

We can back others into

Corners and have the same

Done to us, but how

We respond is our freedom

I choose not to hold on

To this slight either

Real or imagined

I already have more

Than I could ever

Need

Thoughts

It’s important to try and see the best in people. We do not know what they are going through or where they are in their journey.

I was never into Nick Cave until I read his book, Faith, Hope and Carnage. I found his story to be emotionally raw and honest. His show in Leeds 2024 was spectacular. Subscribe to his Red Hand Files if you are not already.
