Fear Of Flying

I once knew a man who

Said he enjoyed long haul flights

Because it was the only chance

He had to spend time on his own

Uninterrupted by emails and

The demands of work

He could escape into a world

Of tiny drinks and obtuse foods

White noise would clear his

Mind as recycled air clogged

His sinuses and five seasons

Of Seinfeld would offer hilarity

Until, one day, the worst happened

Not delays or turbulence

Or total catastrophic failure

No, one day they offered Wi-Fi

And now he is afraid to fly

Thoughts

Flying to Sydney is quite the trek. I await the portal transfer system. Make it so!
