Reality TV

I invented reality TV

Back in 1983

I’d sit in my room

And start to stare

At all of the people

Who were unaware

That they were providing

Me with a show

Where women did dishes

And men went to mow

Some ate together

And some drank alone

Boys on the sofa

Girls on the phone

I tuned in daily

Though the story was slow

But I was eleven

Where else could I go?

But then one day

My mum said to me

Stop being so nosy

Now come get your tea

Thoughts

I’ve always liked people watching. I think most people do. We are all so interesting.

Waiting for the show to start. Don’t get ill.
