The Sound

The sound of the heating

The hot tub and the fridge

Fleeting though it may be

All produce a hum

An individual interval

From arpeggio into chord

Music can always be heard

In the sound of laughter

In speaking and sighing

and crying and trying

To converse

We are a musical people

And none are tone deaf

Listen to the wind

And hear how it sings

To you

Thoughts

I am sat in silence but the sound from the appliances is deafening. We live with such constant background noise that when we actually tune in to it, it can be like a building site. Try that with the sounds that people make. Even the most familiar will yield music.
