Anniversary
Has it really been six months
since we started our relationship?
At eighteen, this would have felt
like a lifetime, but now,
at my age, it feels like
a blink of an eye
Have I changed?
Am I repeating myself?
Do I have anything new to say?
I don’t know
and really, I don’t care
I write because I want to
and will continue to do
so for as long as I see fit
Thoughts
Six months. Six months of daily poems. I am so proud of this achievement. I know that I am abandoning form but it does not matter. I love what I do.
This Giant Ice Bag kinetic sculpture from an exhibition at the Pompidou at the turn of the century is great. It’s big, bold and unapologetic. Does the world need it? Yes, more than ever! Thank you Claes Oldenburg.
