Do I have anything to say

that could help fix

your wildly optimistic outlook?

Your positivity shines

through your sparkling eyes

and your cold, wet nose

belies a warm heart

that beats at the

centre of this household

A year on

you have left your mark

not only in our furniture

but also in who we are

Can we replace you

or will we face only disappointment

followed by the inevitable devastation

Dogs are a special kind of something and anyone who has had one knows the effect that they can have on you.

I don’t want to be overly sentimental so instead, here are some towers that my boy would have barked at, given half a chance.
