Atoms

If everything is made from atoms

Can the items that we own

Contain a part of us

If our body makes itself anew

Every seven years

What becomes of our past self?

If there is a fixed amount

Of energy in the universe

Are any of us stationary?

If I travel the world

Am I leaving a part of

Me in every city

And if so, what does

This do to our border policy?

Are we trying to restrict

An ever expanding cosmos

Fighting to contain

The uncontainable

Are we ever an island nation

If we are always everywhere

Thoughts

What makes Britain great? Take the London Eye as an example. It’s an icon. How was it made?

From the London Eye wikipedia page: The project was European with major components coming from six countries: the steel was supplied from the UK and fabricated in the Netherlands by Hollandia, the cables came from Italy, the bearings came from Germany (FAG/Schaeffler Group), the spindle and hub were cast in the Czech Republic, the capsules were made by Poma in France (and the glass for these came from Italy), and the electrical components from the UK.
