Buck

Today has been a hard day of

Disappointments and frustrations

Nothing massive but each

Micro-aggression has stacked

On the plastic donkeys

Back in my own personal

Buckaroo

At any moment the slightest

Thing could cause me to

Pop

Fling plastic detritus

Across the table of my psyche

Instead I choose to stop

Let go and slowly

Remove the elastic band

That rigs the game

No more thoughts

Only the decision

To not think of things

And reason a way out

Put the toy back in the box

For another day

Thoughts

I’m trying to ensure that all the pictures on this site are mine. As a result I don’t have a copy of Buckaroo so here is a Kangaroo. Close enough eh?
