Can you convey emotion

in the thickness of a stroke

when pulled free from the limits

of BOLD, italic and underline?

Can a typeface bring you to tears

or cause you to think

of a long dormant memory

sat in the back

of a Mark II Escort

unwrapping sandwiches

by the side of the road?

Once again, Hobonichi inspires. Does the Mincho typeface endure because the varying thickness of its strokes make it suitable for conveying emotion? I don’t know but it sounds right.
