Fine Dust
A fine dust covers my book and desktop too
The sunbaked earth has split apart
dissolved in the air
It covers my lungs and dries my eyes
It catches in my throat
producing only coughs of indignation
The promise of rain has failed
leaving only drought and parched dreams

Thoughts
If you are struggling to find inspiration then look directly in front of you. What do you see? That is all you need. But John, I’m looking at a fridge door! Describe the door. Focus on its cool exterior. Imagine the icy depths inside. How might you traverse them? Inspiration is everywhere. We are surrounded by ancient and modern miracles.
I think this Bill Lawrence at the North Sea Jazz Festival but it might not be. They only appear as tiny thumbnails when I’m typing this. I really so prepare better but I won’t.
