Kiss and Make Up
Oh, troublesome wind
That blows across my face
And threatens to unsettle
Every carefully considered
Mark that I have made
Oh, unforgiving rain
That turns my soluble stare
And aims to reduce me
To tears without need
Of emotion
Oh, fickle manipulators
Of women who slice and
Pluck and nip and
Tuck and sell a lie
That you’re not enough
Remember you are everything
And hold the universe inside
Shine brighter than the Sun
Who like you
Is in no need of adornment

Thoughts
There have been so many great poems about what beauty is. This is my contribution.
What if we could see the beauty of nature in ourselves?
