Somerset

I could have been

on my way to Somerset

and yet

I am here

at home

and much happier

Travel broadens the mind

but I find

at times

it’s best to rest

where you are the host

and not the guest

Thoughts

We didn’t take a summer holiday this year but we did toy with the idea of heading to Somerset for a week. The only snag was it meant travelling on a Bank Holiday Monday. Not the best idea, I’m sure you will agree, so we elected to stay at home. I love Somerset and haven’t been for over twenty years. We will have to go at a more sensible time.
