AI

This is not the poem I wrote for today

The poem was about a song I heard

that sounded like ones and zeros

Spewed from a data centre somewhere abroad

Using resources we could barely afford

What does it cost us?

Maybe not everything but certainly something

so I end with the last part of today’s poem

Reset your algorithm

with Angine de Poitrine

Embrace microtonal madness

and the beauty of controlled chaos

in the face of a faceless prompt

Thoughts

Well this is a first. I wrote a poem about a song I heard that was probably AI. But then I thought, what if it wasn’t? My stream of consciousness was not very charitable so I rewrote it. Some of us are trying our best to create except those who think typing into a prompt is art. It’s not.
