I Like To Watch

I like to watch films

of beautiful people from the sixties

and think of them now

in their eighties

Do they still have

that same twinkle in their eyes

or have the seen too much

so much so

that they are filled with only sadness

What can they teach us?

How to carry the joy of youth

when your back aches

and your strength is gone

i like to watch

Thoughts

I was thinking about those films of cities in the late 19th, early 20th century. You know the ones with people rushing about with all the stress of everyday life. They are all dead now and their worries along with them.

I missed out on the sixties by a few years but so many people who came of age in that decade are no loner with us. How fast we pass through.
